What are Your Strengths and Weaknesses in English?
In terms of English and the fields of reading and writing, I have a number of skills as well as weaknesses. My strengths are that I enjoy reading, that I have a solid understanding of language and how to use it correctly, and that I can spell rather well. I also recognize and respect the importance of English in everyday life. This is something I learned as a child but have gotten better at over time, thanks to my work environment. Every day, both written and spoken English is employed. It is an extremely essential topic because it is a mode of communication that is used all over the world.
What would happen if firms didn’t have some form of base communication? They were not going to do it. Everyone uses reading and writing, from letters to novels to resumes. My greatest English flaw is that I despise writing. I tend to have a hard time expressing myself and putting my thoughts down on writing. I despise writing about personal experiences in particular. The biggest reason for this, I believe, is that I am a private person who does not want my feelings to “spill” out on paper for everybody to see. My writing process is another element that contributes to writing being one of my shortcomings. Actually, I don’t have one at all!
I usually, but not always, wait until the night before the paper is due to begin brainstorming and writing out my ideas. This is hilarious because for every other subject, I have a set study period that I adhere to religiously. Maybe it’s because I despise writing that I don’t intend to do it. My lack of a writing process exacerbates another of my flaws: procrastination and a lack of motivation (when it comes to English). The writing process is often tiresome and mind numbing when I am obliged to write a lengthy paper on a subject that is boring or unimportant to me as a person.

I can ponder the subject in my head for hours and come up with nothing! “I’m never going to get this done!” was all I could think.
